In a March 21st, 2017 internal memo, EPA's acting CFO outlines a plan to defund two key programs that fund RRP. While this would not eliminate the law, it would reduce enforcement at the federal level. The entire memo is available below.

As of June 1, 2016, the wording of the warning sign employers shall post where an employee's exposure to lead is above the PEL has changed to:
LEAD WORK AREA
MAY CAUSE FERTILITY OR THE UNBORN CHILD
CAUSES DAMAGE TO THE CENTRAL NERVOUS SYSTEM
DO NOT EAT, DRINK OR SMOKE IN THIS AREA
